FOUR SUSPECTS IN POLICE CUSTODY FOR ALLEGED NASELAI ROBBERY

Four men are in Police custody for their alleged involvemen­t in an early morning aggravated robbery at a shop in Naselai on Monday.

The four suspects are alleged to have threatened the security officer before stealing cash, liquour, cartons of cigarettes and assorted items worth more than $100,000 in total. An Eastern Division taskforce team managed to gather informatio­n of where the alleged stolen cigarettes were disposed and tracked them to two shops and a home in Navua, where more informatio­n was gathered about the alleged involvemen­t of the four suspects.

The four men, one aged 38 and the others in their 40s were arrested on Tuesday and are currently in custody at the Nausori Police Station.

Police investigat­ions are continuing.
