Radradra: I’m Honoured
Somosomo, Taveuni native Semi Radradra will make his debut at No. 13 against Georgia in the second round of the 2018 Pacific Nations Cup on Saturday at 3:30pm at the ANZ Stadium, Suva
The Toulon winger looks fit and ready to pair up with Jale Vatubua in the midfield.
“It is a dream come true for me, I always want to play for the Fiji Airways Flying Fijians. It’s an honour to be selected and play in my test debut,” Radradra said.
“I’ve been getting along with the boys, our backline our first fiveeighth Ben and Jale I have been working hard this week, changing few tactics in our attack and we talk about defence,” he added. Radradra, 26, who has been rated as a try-scoring machine in the French Top 14 rugby acknowledges the senior players in the team for motivating him in his role. “The boys have been helping me a lot.”
He expects a tough match against the Lelos but believes it will come down to following instructions.
“It will be a tough against Georgia. They played well last week against Tonga and we should stick to our plan and instructions, it should be all good,” he said.
Rugby World Cup Sevens
When asked about his plans for the Rugby World Cup Sevens, Radradra said he’s ready to represent his country.
“My focus this week is the test match.
“I don’t know whether I will be selected for the RWC 7s. But if I’m selected I will be honoured to represent my country,” Radradra said.
The RWC 7s will be in San Francisco on July 20-22.
