The Lorima Dau-coached Rewa side was spot on in defending their title in the 2018 INKK Mobile Battle of the Giants tournament at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

What happened: New find Sairusi Nalaubu was the star for the side scoring twice in the 2-0 win over Property Valuations Suva yesterday.

The Delta Tigers were on fire from the first minute with Nalaubu scoring after Suva made a blunder in defence. Rewa had the services of Peniame Drova, Vuniuci Tikomaimereke, Iosefo Verevou, Kalisito Posiano and Taione Kerevanua.

Halftime: Rewa 1 - 0 Suva.

Nalaubu scored his second goal in the 73rd minute after being set up by Josateki Tamudu.

The capital city side had the services of Remueru Tekiate, Kelvin Naidu, Ravinesh Karan Singh, Sakaraia Naisua, and Shahil Dave.

Big Play: Apete Ravudolo, who hails from Nakelo, Tailevu, was on fire for Rewa.

Star turn: Nalaubu was on target.

Rewa plays Nadi in its next match at 4pm today while Suva face Dreketi at 12pm.

Comments: Rewa coach Lorima Dau said, “We had so many chances but you cannot win a game if you don’t score. We had our fair share of possessions and opportunities but the boys just could not score.”

Suva coach Gurjeet Singh said, “It was not a good result for us. The first game is always important so losing three points is not good for us. It will be tough to come back”
