Free will voting

-

Tukai Lagonilakeba, Nadi

Mature, responsible and peaceful campaigning is expected from all our political parties so as not to create dissent and political instability among our eligible 630,000+ registered Fijian voters. They should not be coerced into voting against their own free will and totally undisturbed.

Surprisingly where are unionists Dan Urai and Felix Anthony hiding in all these as it would be the most opportune time for them to resign from both their very comfortable highly paid union jobs to contest the election on a party of their choice. So they can holistically bolster their claims and work towards protecting their very few Union member workers “Fundamental Basic Human Rights” they have always advocated and stood for.

I hope they can man up to stand for election and increase their boisterous minimum wage rate claims of $5-$10 an hour with the NFP, FLP and SODELPA for unestablished, inexperienced and unqualified first time Fijian labourers.

I would also like to ask the Commissioner of Police Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho to investigate SODELPA's Jale O Baba for irresponsibly and selectively exposing the right to privacy and confidentiality of personal information for those registered voters in his Facebook account and it is a very bad political ploy from a frustrated loser in the SODELPA camp.

Again, this is a blatant disregard to our 2013 Fijian Constitutions section 24(1) (a) in the guarantee of Fundamental Rights for every Fijian. It must be nipped in the bud straight away and discouraged immediately.

To all eligible Fijian voters, please beware of false prophets,. We must do all possible to eliminate and discourage these types of people from parliamentary representation with their political parties and I ask that we reject them outright with our votes through our 2018 National Election as they are a bad influence on the future of our young Fijian children and our country's new democracy.
