Fiji Airways Fijian Drua captain Mosese Voka is confident his side will beat the Canberra Vikings today. The encounter at Churchill Park, Lautoka in the sixth round of the National Rugby Championship is crucial for both teams. A win will secure semi-final spots for the teams.

The top four teams in the competition so far are Drua (19), Force (18), Vikings (17) and Queensland Country (14).

After the captain’s run at Churchill Park, Lautoka yesterday, Voka said his side won’t settle for anything else but a win. “We must win and we are looking forward to the game,” he said.

Voka added the Vikings with the inclusion Fijian Rob Valentini at flanker will boost a strong pack comprised Josh Mann-Rea, Joe Powell, Wharenui Hawera, centre Jordan Jackson-Hope and fullback Andy Muirhead. “We don’t have to worry about them (Vikings). We just have to play on our game and execute our game plan and the set pieces to perfection,”Voka said.

“It’s a big thing for our boys to play in front of our home crowd. “A win tomorrow means a lot for us as we are aiming to host a home semifinal.

“I think it’s all about hard work. The boys have been together for close to two months now and team bonding is strong.” Making his return to the Drua side are wily halfback Frank Lomani and second five eight Cyril Reece.

Flying Fijians hooker Veremalua Vugakoto starts from the bench while former Brumbies academy student Mesulame Dolokoto starts.
