Aformer financial member of the National Federation Party (NFP) said he left the party because it is better led and is better for Fiji.

John Anam, 82, spoke to the Fiji Sun yesterday during the FijiFirst Party rally that was held at Churchill Park in Lautoka yesterday.

He said his reason for joining FijiFirst was because of the welfare it had given to the people of Fiji.

“FijiFirst has looked after this country well for four years,” he said.

“I was a finance member of NFP from 1963 and seeing all these not functioning well, a lot of leadership crisis and so because of this I thought not to join them.

“This is why I joined FijiFirst because they are giving all the services to the people, what else do you need?”

He has wished the Prime Minister and FijiFirst Party leader, Voreqe Bainimarama all the best in the 2018 General Election.
