Faaizah exemplifies hard work
Suva Muslim College Overall Outstanding Student and Year 13 Dux Faaizah Ali exemplifies what hard work can achieve.
She said after the school prizegiving ceremony yesterday that the hard work she’d put in for the past four years had paid off immensely.
“I feel very happy and I have actually been working hard for the past few years so I think I did a good job,” she said.
Faaizah plans to further her education at the University of the South Pacific and hopefully attain a bachelor’s degree in arts. She also acknowledged her parents for being a source of inspiration.
“They were helping throughout my education and they never pressured me to do household chores. My parents were my biggest inspiration,” she said.
“I found high school to be a challenge in itself. I am sure many students would agree it’s not an easy job to be doing high school. It is strenuous.”
She is also the school head girl; however, she said her duties did not interfere with her studies.
“I don’t think it was challenging to juggle the duties of a head girl and concentrating in my studies. The head boy and the other leaders carried out their duties diligently,” she said.
Faaizah’s message to other students was: “The path to success never ends so work hard and achieve your dreams.”
