Hare Krishna Begins 2019 Journey On Positive Note
The Hare Krishna Community in the Northern Division started its 2019 journey on a high note by having a devotion then a march through Labasa Town. Krishna Conscience regional secretary Ras Bihari Das said that the concept behind the gathering was to shed light and preach peace and prosperity for 2019. “Coming together and sharing the love with our fellow Fijians is something that is at the core of our reli- gion,” Mr Das said. “Seeking divine blessings and guidance then placing God at the centre of our hearts is something that will lead to an ideal life for every person.
“We are all equal and of the same blood so coming together and sharing the love is something that is important.” Mr Das said the idea of giving back to society was also imperative.
“We express ourselves by giving and helping people in need,” Mr Das said.
The Hare Krishna Community has arranged free food distribution to about 2000 people in Labasa. “When we die we will not take anything but the love we have for each other,” he said.
“Sharing the wisdom gained is also an important part of life as it will lead to growth and development of every human being.” He added that their community would conduct similar devition marches in Labasa Town on the first week of every month this year. Edited by Susana Tuilau
