Yogi Babu busiest comedian delighted by the sight of Temple
Tamil cinema’s busiest comedian Yogi Babu was in the country shooting for the new movie ‘Angel’.
The Indian actor was overjoyed with one thing, which led him to sharing a videospotting the temple of Lord Muragan at the Sri Siva Subramaniya Swami Thiru Kovil temple - the largest Hindu temple in the southern hemisphere in Nadi.
He shared a video in which he expressed his delight of discovering a Murugan Temple. He then stated that he was here for ten days but only on the ninth day it hit his eyes. The temple was built in July 15, 1994, in the best traditions of ancient Dravidian Indian temple architecture as well as the principles of sacred architecture of the Vastu Vedic tradition.
The movie, ‘Angel’ is directed by K.S. Athiyaman and starring Udhayanidhi Stalin and Kayal Anandhi as the lead pair.
Mr Babu is also playing the main lead in a number of projects including ‘Ghurkha’, ‘Zombie’, ‘Dharma Prabhu’ and others. Furthermore, Hindu devotees are expected to flock the temple for the annual Vaarshika Thaipoosam Thirunaal Festival for the 10-day event is set to begin today to January 27.
This will be the 93rd edition of the festival.
Temple manageress Sandhiya Krishna said devotees from around the country and overseas always made themselves available.
“We have this 10-day festival every year and we are gearing up for a very high number this year,” she said.
The final day devotees will take the centre stage in a spectacular ritual where they pierced their bodies with Trisul (metal rods). A big crowd is expected to watch the proceedings.
