PM’S QUESTIONS
Fijians who have questions for Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama can hear straight from him during the Noda Prime Minister show on Radio Fiji 1. The new fortnightly show, which airs every second Friday on the iTaukei station - Radio Fiji 1 between 1.15pm to 2pm, began last week.
Listeners can email their questions to rf1@fbc.com.fj and register their questions and complaints, which will be put to Mr Bainimarama when he appears on the show.
FBC’s chief executive officer, Riyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, said this would be the opportunity for people to hear, first-hand, about upcoming government projects are.
“We noticed a demand from the public to listen to issues straight from the Prime Minister’s Office,” Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said.
“We have noticed a lot of ongoing discussions regarding development issues, but often there is often a lot of misinformation, so we want the PM to talk about what exactly is happening in the country and for the information to come straight from him.
“This gives an opportunity for the public to keep updated with the developments happening in Fiji. Apart from discussing development, there will be also be a segment within the show where the pm will be talking about any issues circulating on social media in regards to Government,” he said.
“These will be issues popular on social media regarding the Government so the PM can clarify whether there is some truth to these issues and dispel any misinformation.”
The show will be repeated on Bula FM on the following Mondays.
