Zidane: I must count on these Real Madrid players

-

Madrid: It didn’t take long for Zinedine Zidane to implement his own style on Real Madrid once more, but he insisted that everyone can play a part under him. The Frenchman made some big changes to the starting line-up for the 2-0 win over Celta Vigo yesterday as Keylor Navas, Marcelo and Isco all returned, as well as Gareth Bale and Marco Asensio.

It certainly worked, too, as Isco and Bale both found the net for Los Blancos in the victory.”

“Nobody here, or anywhere, can take away what these players have done here,” said Zidane.

“I have a squad of 23, 24, 25 players and will count on them all.”

“Thibaut [Courtois] and [Sergio] Reguilon have done well until now, others too. “But at same time Keylor is very good, Marcelo too, Isco too.

“I must count on these players as they are good players, but I will count on them all. “What I liked most of all was that we had more than 20 crosses, and in the end we got there and finished one off.

“That gives us chances to score goals, and we did.

“I believe all the players here know that you must play football. That is what I like, and what the players like. But, also, when we don’t have the ball, we must run, to get it back.”

La Liga results: Huesca 1-3 Alaves, Real Madrid 2-0 Celta Vigo, Ath. Bilbao 2-0 Atletico Madrid
