More than 300 Delegates for Constructi­on Industry Conference in Suva Next Week

The Constructi­on Industry Council (CIC) is expecting 400 delegates from here and abroad in this year’s conference.

CIC chief executive officer Vijay Naidu confirmed this in an interview yesterday.

The Conference is scheduled from June 13 to 15 at Suva’s Grand Pacific Hotel.

The Attorney-General and Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, will open the Conference on Friday, with the Trade Show to be launched by Premila Kumar, Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism on Thursday.

Registrati­on

Mr Naidu said so far 350 delegates had registered for the conference. Registrati­on close today. He noted all the trade booths had been sold out.

“These booths will be set up at the car park.”

He said to avoid the last minute

rush, those who wanted to be part of the conference could register online through their website www.cic.com.fj.

When asked about the preparatio­n, Mr Naidu said that everything was under control and they were now finalising a few more sponsors for the event. “A wide range of speakers will be part of the conference. “There are 13 speakers and 10 members of the industry who will be the panelist.”
