Bridge link

Joji Toronibau, Tunuloa, Cakaudrove

While on an errand to my traditional abode last week, I found that the bridge link between Natewa and Tunuloa district was still not repaired.

The bridge was not in operation since March this year due to a crack on the mid-section of the bridge, hence its closure. Moreover, the bridge in Nadavaci Village provides a critical link between the villages in Natewa and up in Tunuloa area. Vehicles had to wade across the river if its low tide and as well when there is low level of flood.

The bus service that provides services to these villages had to abandon their services twice or thrice in the past weeks because of the closure.

A request is made to the FRA and stakeholders to please expedite repair and maintenance so as our earthlings can enjoy the same services as enjoyed by all Fijians with better roads.

Please also note that Police presence on wheels is most paramount too; to weed outillegal activities.
