Iden­ti­ties re­vealed in Tahiti child sex abuse case: Re­port

Papeete: The iden­tity of the four sex of­fend­ers in French Poly­ne­sia sen­tenced to prison for their con­tact with child pros­ti­tutes has been re­vealed. The four were last week con­victed for sex­ual abuse of mi­nors and given jail terms of up to 30 months, with up to 18 months sus­pended.

Tahiti-in­fos re­ported that among the four, who are be­tween 54 and 74 years old, is the for­mer di­rec­tor of French Poly­ne­sia’s Youth and Sports In­sti­tute, An­to­nio Arai. A busi­ness­man, Leo Le Prado, who is a re­peat of­fender, has been given a 30-month sen­tence, of which 18 are sus­pended.
