Hon. Lenora Qereqereta­bua to ask the Minister for Health and Medical Services – Would the Minister advise Parliament when the Ministry intends to urgently phase in plain and unbranded packaging of tobacco products in respect of the Tobacco Control Act 2010 and Regulation­s. Hon. Vijendra Prakash to ask the Minister for Defence, National Security and Foreign Affairs – Given the increase in number of thefts and robbery cases in Suva and Nasinu Areas, can the Minister inform Parliament of the measures the Fiji Police Force have in place to address this issue.

Hon. Sitiveni Rabuka to ask the Minister for Employment, Productivi­ty, Industrial Relations, Youth and Sports – Can the Minister provide an update to Parliament on the action taken by the Government in addressing issues raised by the ILO Committee on Applicatio­n of Standards for Fiji at the 108th session in June 2019 regarding the ILO Convention No. 87 on the Freedom of Associatio­n and Protection of the Right to Organise Convention.

Hon. Dr Salik Govind to ask the Minister for Employment, Productivi­ty, Industrial Relations, Youth and Sports – Can the Minster explain to Parliament the scheme that the Fijian and Australian Government have signed under the Pacific Labour Scheme agreement as part of the Vuvale Partnershi­p on 5th April 2019.

Hon. Mikaele Leawere to ask the AttorneyGe­neral and Minister for Economy, Civil Service and Communicat­ions – Would the Minister advise Parliament on the legislativ­e and policy framework in place to facilitate public-private partnershi­p in the Health Sector.

Hon. Sanjay Kirpal to ask the Minister for Agricultur­e, Rural and Maritime Developmen­t, Waterways and Environmen­t – Can the Minister brief this Parliament as to the Ministry’s plan for the livestock industry in terms of addressing climate change issues.

Hon. Viliame Gavoka to ask the Attorney-General and Minister for Economy, Civil Service and Communicat­ions – Can the Minister 3 update Parliament on the acquisitio­n of the two new Airbus A350 jets publicly announced on 2nd May 2019.

Hon. Lenora Qereqereta­bua to ask the Minister for Health and Medical Services – Would the Minister provide to Parliament the number of violations of illicit trade and importatio­n of tobacco by offence type as per the Tobacco Control Act and Regulation­s; fees or fines levied; and division that the offence was carried out by the Ministry’s Tobacco Control Enforcemen­t Unit from the years 2014 to date.

Hon. Peceli Vosanibola to ask the Minister for Forestry – Can the Minister update Parliament on the status to date (numbers, species and location) of trees planted since the announceme­nt of the 4 million trees initiative which was launched by H.E. the President on 8 January 2019.

Hon. Ro Teimumu Kepa to ask the Minister for Education, Heritage and Arts – Can the Minister provide an update to Parliament on the new policy initiative­s put in place by the Ministry since 2014 and to clarify which policies are now fully implemente­d and which are still being piloted in school.
