There is a new symbol of what worldclass banking looks like and this can now be seen at the ANZ Namaka Branch in Nadi after unveiling its renovated modern branch yesterday.

ANZ successfully opened its doors to its customers after completing its first major renovations at the site.

Commitment

ANZ Country Head Saud Minam during the official opening said ANZ Bank showed a lot of commitment towards its staff and its branches.

“There hasn’t been a single year in the last 139 years that we have spent so much money on investment on our people and on our branches as well,” Mr Minam said. “Our commitment is as long as we are here we will continue to invest in the future and the betterment in our staff and customers.”

Branch

He said there was a commitment made by the ANZ Bank which was to make the Namaka Branch outstanding from the rest.

“This would continue for the rest of the branches that are yet to open after major renovation works are completed. “There was a commitment that we would make this most beautiful branch in Fiji. “People of the branch should be very happy that they are working for ANZ Bank. “Now we would like to work in a very collaborative manner and we would like to continue to do that as part of our digital strategy,” he said.

Routine

“It is a regular routine for me to come to beautiful branches, this is the fifth branch we have renovated in the last 18 months, and the more important part is yes, it is not only the branch which basically gets better, people like me and the rest of the branch staff are getting better as well.”

Branch staff

Mr Minam said the Branch Manager, Kritesh Rathod, together with his staff had to go through noise, the dust and drain smell and he acknowledged them for their patience in waiting for the bank to officially open. “Our newly renovated branch is leading edge, with a modern look and feel.

“We offer free WiFi for customers, a fast deposit drop box for cash and cheques, a phone pod so customerscan reach our Contact Centre and a digital banking kiosk.

“We also have a nursing room for mothers who have returned to work and a prayer room.”

Mr Minam said: “Namaka is now a banking hub with all of our banking specialists here. This means customers can meet with Retail, Commercial, Trade and Signature Priority Banking staff in one place.”

He added: “We have more meeting spaces and better on-site parking facilities, so it’s more convenient than ever for customers to come and speak with us about their banking needs.”
