RARAWAI MILL TO RESUME FULL CRUSH: KAFOA
The Rarawai Mill in Ba will resume normalcy of crushing cane today, says Mill Manager Taito Kafoa.
Mr Kafoa said there had been a damaged feed water pump to one of the boilers since Friday morning.
The Mill has two boilers that supplement each other during the milling process, with the damage it has been running on one alone.
“We searched for the cable but we cannot find it so we got the cable from Labasa.”
He said they had to reduce the boiler load as it adds risks on the boiler load.
“We have the pump and the motor.
“The cable has finally arrived and we will install it since a lot of cane is present in the yard. “We will cut the quota for today.
“During this time, we will fix the pump and then connect the water line back to its level.”
