10 STUDENTS IN ALLEGED DEFILEMENT CASE
Ten students of a secondary school in the Nasinu area have been caution interviewed and released for allegedly defiling a fellow student.
The alleged incidents occurred sometime between May and June this year.
The complainant is a Year 10 student and the alleged incident came to light when one of the teachers heard rumours and she was referred to the principal. The 10 suspects, aged between 16 and 19 years, are alleged to have committed the offence on three different occasions at the school premises. The matter was reported to Police and the suspects interviewed and released.
The investigation file will be sent to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions once completed.
