TUKANA URGES PEOPLE TO GET SCREENED AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR
Heart disease is the leading killer amongst Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) in Fiji, says National Advisor for NCDs and Wellness Dr Isimeli Tukana. He has urged everyone to get screened at least once every year for NCDs.
Dr Tukana yesterday met and congratulated the 28-member team who had returned from a 10-day walkathon around Viti Levu to raise awareness on NCDs.
The walkathon was organised by the Foundation for the Education of Needy Children (FENC) Fiji in partnership with Ministry of Health and Fiji Mountaineering and Climbing Association (FMCA).
