TUKANA URGES PEO­PLE TO GET SCREENED AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR

Heart dis­ease is the lead­ing killer amongst Non-Com­mu­ni­ca­ble Dis­eases (NCDs) in Fiji, says Na­tional Ad­vi­sor for NCDs and Well­ness Dr Isimeli Tukana. He has urged ev­ery­one to get screened at least once ev­ery year for NCDs.

Dr Tukana yes­ter­day met and con­grat­u­lated the 28-mem­ber team who had re­turned from a 10-day walkathon around Viti Levu to raise aware­ness on NCDs.

The walkathon was or­gan­ised by the Foun­da­tion for the Ed­u­ca­tion of Needy Chil­dren (FENC) Fiji in part­ner­ship with Min­istry of Health and Fiji Moun­taineer­ing and Climb­ing As­so­ci­a­tion (FMCA).
