Rev­erend Naivalu is deputy sec­re­tary

The newly-elected Methodist Church in Fiji and Ro­tuma deputy sec­re­tary, Rev­erend Iliesa Naivalu, says he is ready to serve the church and con­gre­ga­tion.

He thanked del­e­gates of the an­nual Methodist Church Con­fer­ence (Bose Ko Viti) for hav­ing faith in him to be the deputy sec­re­tary.

Rev­erend Naivalu has been a church min­is­ter for 37 years. He has served in many ar­eas like:

2007 As­sis­tant sec­re­tary for Chris­tian cit­i­zen­ship and so­cial ser­vices with the Methodist Church in Fiji and Ro­tuma

2012 Parish min­is­ter Chad­stone St Marks Unit­ing Church, Mel­bourne

2015 Methodist Church in Fiji’s Sec­re­tary for Chris­tian Cit­i­zen­ship and So­cial Ser­vices.

2016 Methodist Church of Fiji sec­re­tary for Chris­tian Cit­i­zen­ship and So­cial Ser­vice

2018 - Methodist Church clergy and gen­eral sec­re­tary for the Fiji Coun­cil of Churches.

The post was pre­vi­ously held by the late Rev­erend Jere­maia Waqain­a­bete.
