Residents of Labasa found the Nasea end of town piled with shoes. There were different kinds of shoes, boots, pumps, heels and runners. There were shoes to be found for at least a 200 metre stretch. Although the shoes looked good, but there was only a pair of each. The BTL crew has been wondering what is the possible explanation of such a mess early in the morning. Definitely no reports of a massive shoe heist with the Police. Perhaps a second hand dealer left them outside for rubbish collection and kids being kids played with them all over the street. Definitely too many shoes for Cinderella to have come around for a visit.

What was once a famous landmark near the banks of the Ba River is now in ruins. BTL has seen the bad condition of the Ba Football Club House, which has deteriorated over the years. It probably reflects the district football team, which was once feared in the country, not winning any major titles in recent years.
