The Methodist Church in Fiji and Rotuma representatives with counterparts from the Cliff College in Calver Derbyshire, United Kingdom, signed a statement of intent yesterday.

Cliff College principal Reverend Ashley Cooper thanked the church for the signing.

He said they were ready to work together with the church in the field of upgrading and training of ministers.

Most of the training will be online and the Methodist Church president Reverend Epineri Vakadewavosa said this new partnership was good for the church.

Cliff College provides theological education and training with a particular focus on mission and evangelism. Historically, Cliff College was a Methodist Lay Training college.

The college motto “Christ for all – all for Christ” sums this up.

They want to train people from all walks of life to be more effective Christians, more effective evangelists and more effective disciples of Jesus Christ.
