TO STRENGTHEN TIES WITH OUR BUSINESS, TOURISM
In an effort to foster a strong relationship between China and Fiji, a delegation from Hubei Province signed a promotional contract with Rosie Holidays on Saturday.
The signing took place at the China Fiji Tourism Symposium at the DoubleTree by Hilton Fiji Resort on Sonaisali Island.
The contract signing was between Dynasty International and Rosie Holidays.
As part of the agreement, Dynasty Travel has agreed to promote Fiji to the Hubei province while Rosie Holidays promotes Hubei Province in Fiji.
Why Fiji
Speaking on behalf of the Hubei delegation, Yanfang Tourism chairman Wang Hongcai said the partnership was a way to forge ties between the Hubei tourism sector and Fiji. Mr Hongcai said the agreement would also help open doors for Fiji’s tourism sector.
“We hope there will be future projects and of course this also means that Fijians can also come over and visit Hubei Province to really experience its beauty,” he said.
He added that the delegation was from predominantly state-owned companies and they were pleased to have met with officials from the Fijian Government.
“So we thought what better way to forge a partnership than with a country that is known for its friendly spirit,” he said.
“We wanted to have this agreement with Fiji because it is famous for its hospitality and the people here are so friendly.”
Rosie Holidays Asia Inbound Manager Azaria Chung said the Chinese delegation was made up of officials from nine provinces of China that had attended the symposium. She said they would each have their own separate meetings to discuss their findings.
She said for Rosie Holidays their agreement depends would depend on agents they would want to work with because they are an inbound servicen operator.
Meanwhile organisations attending the event were Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa, Novotel, Hilton Fiji Beach Resort, Fiji South Sea Cruises, Asia South Sea Cruises, Cloud 9 Fiji, Raddison Blu Resort Fiji and Captain Cook Cruises.
The China Fiji Tourism Symposium ended on Saturday.
