“I am deeply honored to be given the opportunity to be the president of the Fiji Volleyball Association,” Gukisuva said

“And being someone who grew up love playing the sport and watching local tournament, part of the growth of the sport in Fiji it’s really special.

“There is a lot of work that needs to be done especially when it comes to the development of the sport.

“We all aware that volleyball is played in all villages, cities and

town and we want to take this sport to a level where Fiji can be recognized as one of the champions in region or rather in the global arena.

“The first thing that we would like to do is call for a board meeting and sit down with other elected board members and take a collaborative approach on ways we can work together and grow this sport. “My background in sports has always been with the sports commission and has been associated with sporting fraternity for the past 25 years through my work and experience this will be a new challenge and exciting one for me and look forward to it.
