3 FE­MALE MEAT WORK­ERS ON AUS­TRALIAN PA­CIFIC LABOUR SCHEME

MEAT IN­DUS­TRIES UN­DER THE AUS­TRALIAN PA­CIFIC LABOUR SCHEME (PLS) FOR THE FIRST TIME WILL RE­CEIVE THREE (3) FE­MALE MEAT WORK­ERS FROM FIJI.

They are part of the third batch of thirty (30) meat work­ers who have un­der­gone pre-de­par­ture ori­en­ta­tion (PDO) train­ing early this week. They will be em­ployed with Tey’s Aus­tralia as a Gen­eral En­try Meat Process Worker. The Per­ma­nent Sec­re­tary for Em­ploy­ment, Pro­duc­tiv­ity and In­dus­trial Re­la­tions Osea Cawaru while clos­ing the PDO re­minded the work­ers on the im­por­tance of val­ues, team work and to help each other. Mr Cawaru em­pha­sised that their se­lec­tion makes them Fiji’s am­bas­sadors and the key to open­ing more doors for their fel­low Fi­jians back home await­ing this great op­por­tu­nity are in their hands.

Of the third batch of 30, the first group of ten (10) work­ers is ex­pected to leave for Junee, New South Wales on Septem­ber 4th, sec­ond group of another 10 work­ers for Bin­da­ree on Septem­ber 16th while the third group will de­part for Tarn­worth on Septem­ber 25th, 2019.
