Tabu­atau­sole re­mem­bered as a Brave Sol­dier of Peace

The United Na­tions res­i­dent co­or­di­na­tor and UNDP res­i­dent rep­re­sen­ta­tive for Fiji de­liv­ered a mov­ing eu­logy for the late Staff Ser­gent Se­niloli Tabu­atau­sole.

The ser­vice was held at the Seventh-day Ad­ven­tist Church at Su­vavou, Lami with hun­dreds at­tend­ing the fu­neral of the man who was killed in a car bomb­ing in Beng­hazi, Libya, last month.

He was a staff mem­ber of the United Na­tions Sup­port Mis­sion in Libya (UNSMIL).

The UN rep­re­sen­ta­tive, Sanaka Sa­ma­ras­inha, said: “The pass­ing of this brave sol­dier of peace is a painful re­al­ity to the en­tire United Na­tions fam­ily and one

that will leave a void in the hearts of the United Na­tions Sup­port Mis­sion in Libya.

“His pass­ing is a stark re­minder of the com­plex­ity and dan­gers as­so­ci­ated with peace­keep­ing around the world,” he said.

He is sur­vived by his wife, five chil­dren and a grand­child

The fi­nal farewell for the late Staff Ser­gent Se­niloli Tabu­atau­sole at the Seventh-day Ad­ven­tist Church in Su­vavou.
