KEDRAYATE NAMED ON TLTB BOARD OF TRUSTEES
The Board of Trustees of the iTaukei Land Trust Board (TLTB) has announced the appointment of Akanisi Kedrayate Tabualevu as its newest member for years.
Ms Kedrayate is the Dean, of the Faculty of Arts, Law & Education of the University of the South Pacific (USP).
Prior to this she was Head of School of Humanities for four years before the academic restructure at the USP.
She holds a PhD degree from the University of New England in Armidale, Australia, and a Masters with Honours from the University of Glasgow in Scotland.
She attended Harvard University on a Leadership
Programme under the International Leadership and Executive Training. She was also a Kellogg Fellow at the Australian National University.
Ms Kedrayate supervises post-graduate students and examines thesis apart from her responsibility as Dean and Head of the Faculty of Arts, Law & Education.
Her professional and research interests are in Education, Curriculum, Development Issues, Community Development & Education, Non-formal and Adult Education, Leadership and Gender.
She has published journal articles and a book titled: VOICES-PACIfiC WOMEN TEACHERS TELL THEIR STORIES. She serves as a member of the International Federation of University Women Project Committee (IFUW), a member of the Virginia Gilder Sleeve International Fund Project (VGIF) and previously served on the Executive Board of International Community Education Association.
Ms Kedrayate also serves on various committees at USP including Senior Management, and Senate. She is the Chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. With her vast knowledge and wealth of experience she is expected to positively contribute in her new role as a director for the TLTB Board of Trustees.
