OLYMPIAN JASA VEREMALUA JOINS
San Diego Legion, former Fiji Airways Fijian 7s rugby forward and Olympian Jasa Veremalua will give something back to the community by supporting the grassroots rugby programme at Nasau Park, Ovalau, tomorrow. Initiated by Kombat Sportwear after former 7s captain Seremaia Tuwai became the first player to win the Hong Kong Sevens title for five years in a row early this year, Veremalua will conduct clinic with Bumble Bee Duavata 7s team. He will be assisted by Queen Victoria School Under-18 team strength & conditioning coach Louis Uluibau.
“We are glad to have Jasa supporting the programme, “organiser Malakai Yamaivava said. “Coach Gareth Baber and the 7s teams have been supporting the programme and we conducted clinics in Yasawa and Nadi. “Next week we will go to Vanua
Levu and we will also donate jerseys to Islanders 7s team in Suweni.
“But we invite players in Ovalau to be at Nasau Park on Saturday to meet up with Veremalua and be part of the clinic.” Korotogo, Nadroga native signed a two-year deal with the Legion, Established in 2017, San Diego Legion is part of Major League Rugby (MLR) organisation, one of the seven founding teams in North America.
Olympian and now San Diego Legion’s Jasa Veremalua will be in Ovalau tomorrow to conduct coaching clinics.
