- GRACE NARAYAN Edited by Osea Bola

Fans can enjoy a double rugby spectacle at Churchill Park, Lautoka on Saturday. They can watch the Fiji Airways Fijian Drua-Sydney Rays in round four of the Australian National Rugby Championship at 2pm and then watch the Fiji Airways Flying Fijians against the Wallabies at 4,45pm on a big screen.

Fiji Rugby Union chief executive officer John O’Connor confirmed a big screen will be set up for fans in the west.

O’Connor said the screen will first be used to show replays for the Fijian Drua-Sydney Rays which the public have to pay for while the RWC match will be opened to the public.

“A big screen will be set up during the NRC match between the Fijian Drua and Sydney Rays, to show replay actions of the match,” O’Connor said

“However, straight after the NRC match the gate will be open for the public to come in and watch the first RWC match for the Fiji Airways Flying Fijians.

“This will be a great opportunity for the public to come out in numbers and support our boys in Japan.

“Nevertheless, we urge the fans to also support our Fijian Drua team and buy tickets in advance which are affordable - $10 for grandstand and $5 for embarkment. “Another, good news is that the big screen will be up for the general public throughout the RWC season for the public to watch however some inconvenience may arise if the Vodafone U23 football side has to use the facility.” Meanwhile, O’Connor has also confirmed that there are discussions still in place with the Communications Fiji Limited in setting up a similar big screen at Ratu Sukuna Park in Suva for the capital city fans.
