Muntz, Dyer target first NRC win

Fiji Airways Fijian Drua’s first five eight Caleb Muntz and No.8 Johnny Dyer are determined to win their first game in the National Rugby Championship against Sydney today. Muntz said he is focused on playing for the Drua in the NRC and is not looking at any overseas contracts as yet.

“I think what we need to work on has been similar over the last few weeks, so it is a bit of a deja vu coming to training but it has been good,” he said.

“They (Sydney) came off with a big win against Queensland Country so I think they will be coming in with a lot of momentum and confidence.

“So it is up to us to try and limit that confidence by being really physical and coming out strong in the first half to try and lift ourselves up and bring them down.

“My main focus is to perform for this team but hopefully if something comes up in the future I’ll pursue that but now my main focus is the on the Fijian Drua.”

Dyer said the players have been working on their mistakes from last week. He’s confident that they would come out with a win. “We’re expecting the boys to click and come out with a win,” he said. The clash kicks-off at 2pm
