Scholastic award

Meanwhile, Labasa College was also the first school in the Northern Division to be given the Scholastic award from the Scholastic Crime Prevention Team in Labasa. Principal Ms Raj was thankful to the Police department for the existence of the committee in schools. “I am very thankful to Crime Prevention coordinator North Corporal Mereani Vasakula and the Scholastic Crime Prevention Team for involving students who are part of that, as the badge was from the Police Department and makes the students very cautious of their behaviour in school,” she said.

“This has helped us a lot, for they are always there to come and always counsel the students. “Our students are always on a look out to see if there are any cases it needs their attention and it makes our work very easy too,” she said.
