- CHARLES CHAMBERS NADI

Fiji Airways Business Class Purser Adi Bau Yabaki who was part of the Airbus A350-900 XWB delivery flight crew said the aircraft was a class above the rest.

The most important part of the Fiji Airways experience is the service and hospitality of the Fiji Airways cabin crew.

“This aircraft is so spacious and one thing that stands out is the ample space for one to stretch the legs during a flight,” she said.

The aircraft has a more spacious cabin, which was 5.6 metrer wide with more leg room and the largest overhead luggage bins in the market.

The aircraft has built in overhead pilot and cabin crew rest bunks – two for the pilots and eight for the cabin crew.

Adi Bau said the aircraft has all the modern features some airlines don’t have.

“It is so quiet, you can hardly hear the engines and the aircraft is built to provide the best comfort for travellers,” she said.

“I am proud to be part of the crew that brought the aircraft home.”

Fiji Airways is the first airline based in the Pacific region to operate the A350-900 XWB.

It will be deployed to enhance existing long haul services between Fiji, Australia and US.

At the 2019 Skytrax World Airline awards, Fiji Airways was ranked in the Top 20 Best Airline Cabin Crew..
