First Officer Gideon Leweniqila proud to be part of crew
Fiji Airways First Officer Gideon Leweniqila said one of the proudest moments of his life was to bring home the airline’s new Airbus A350-900 XWBs.
First Officer Leweniqila was part of the flight crew, consisting of Airbus Captain Timothy Furness and Fiji Airways senior pilot Captain Mukesh Patel, Chief Pilot Captain Aaron Dean and Captain Richard Yuen.
“It’s good to have been on board and finally touch down in Nadi after bringing the aircraft from Toulouse in France and three stopovers after that,” he said.
“It is the first of its kind in the Pacific region and is top of the range with the latest technology.
“It is always a pleasure to come back to Fiji after every flight,” the 32-year-old said. He added that the aircraft was a standout and he was privileged to have been part of the delivery crew.
