Big step-up for the players, says coach
Swire Shipping Fijian Warriors head coach Kele Leawere said the extended squad have more depth with the inclusion of young players.
Leawere indicated the squad consist majority of the Under-20 players who will be challenged to perform at the upper level.
The Warriors will kick-off their 2020 World Rugby Pacific Challenge against Samoa A on March 6 at 5pm at the ANZ Stadium, Suva. “Most of the boys have come through the Deans competition and this is another level for them,” Leawere said.
“It is important that we build our depth so that we can always have players available but at the same time we are having the ones getting experience in this kind of tournaments.
“The team will move down to Sigatoka for a two-day camp.”
