Almost 200 people registered for the webinar.

The online-session served as an avenue to both understand the impact that the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is having on the tourism industry and to allow industry

to better understand Tourism Fiji’s response during this pandemic.

Messaging

During this webinar session Tourism Fiji also presented their messaging and rationale behind it to be used to connect with consumers at this time.

Tourism Fiji Director of Marketing, Emma Campbell said: “Our heart goes out to Fiji and our industry but now, more than ever.

“It is essential that Fiji remains in the hearts and minds of global consumers to ensure we are well positioned for re-entry into the market when the time is right.”

Bulanaires campaign

Tourism Fijis’ signature campaign for 2020, Bulanaires, demonstrated that

Fiji as a destination can come together effectively with an aligned message that has cut through with consumers.

“Our vision is that, like Bulanaires, we can all align with one voice and message to begin to build confidence back within our markets and keep people inspired about visiting Fiji,” explained Ms Campbell.

The messaging is “Sota tale, stay safe and we will see you soon” and Tourism Fiji will use the messaging to inspire armchair travellers who are dreaming about their next holiday when travel restrictions are lifted.

Tourism Fiji encourages anyone in the tourism industry to sign up to their enewsletter.
