Our daily newspaper, Fiji Sun, is much more Brighter, much more Bigger and more effective and updates all Fijians within the Pacific nations with local, news and world coverage.

Our readers rely on journalists, despite, the difficulties they face to bring authentic content news and updates.

In this COVID-19 pandemic – the brave journalists are doing a much greater job to deliver original and true news. They remember doctors, nurses, Police personnel but forget about our dedicated journalists. I salute you all. Furthermore, the UNESCO driven events will also examine the safety of journalists and how to combat disinformation.

The event will be an academic conference on the safety of journalists which will allow researchers from different disciplines to share and discuss.

This will be aimed at bridging the gap between academic research, policy making and journalism.

“A journalist who doesn’t bring a camera is like a warrior who doesn’t carry a sword,” said Lucio Tan, a Chinese Filipino billionaire.

Wishing the entire journalism fraternity well for their perseverance and hard work. Vinaka.!
