Nadi-based Police officer Solomoni Liga was one of the 12 people in the Western Division charged with failing to comply with curfew orders. They appeared at respective Magistrate­s Courts on Monday.

Liga appeared before Magistrate Bandula Gunaratne while Jone Mataiadrau and Solomone Raivolita appeared before Magistrate Sekonaia Vodokisolo­mone at the Lautoka Magistrate­s Court. Raivolita was also charged with unlawful wounding and criminal trespassin­g.

Liga was ordered to pay a bail bond of $200 and told to appear in court on July 3. Mataiadrau was ordered to pay a bail bond of $300, report to the Lautoka Police station every Tuesday between 7am and 7pm and appear in court on June 15.

Raivolita was ordered to pay a bail bond of $300, provide one surety, report to the Lautoka Police station every Tuesday between 7am to 7pm and appear in court on August 24. In Nadi, David George Kennedy, Samuela Delai, Ilaisa Nabou and

Jason Rahul Karan appeared before Magistrate Nilmini Fernandez while Seru Vakaliwali­wa, Neville Richman and Mesake Naseru appeared before Magistrate Nirosha Kannangara at the Nadi Magistrate­s Court.

Kennedy, Delai, Nabou were ordered to pay a bail bond of $1000, follow a curfew from 8pm to 6am and appear in court on July 31. Karan was ordered to pay a bail bond of $1000 and appear in court on August 21.

Vakaliwali­wa, Naiseru and Richman were ordered to pay a bail bond of $1000 and Richman was ordered to follow a curfew from 8pm to 5am and appear in court on July 19. Vakaliwali­wa and Naiseru will appear in court on July 18.

In Ba, Timoci Cavalevu appeared at the Ba Magistrate­s Court before Magistrate Samuela Qica. He was ordered to pay a bail bond of $300, report to the Ba Police Station twice a month on Wednesdays between 6am and 6pm and appear in court on August 11.
