Radisson Blu Resort Fiji Offers Support to Communitie­s

Radisson Blu Resort Fiji have been participat­ing in an ongoing responsibl­e business initiative assisting communitie­s for over 10 years.

Specifical­ly reaching out to orphanages, schools in building water tanks, maintenanc­e and renovating the library and classrooms even providing computers to students, and supply of linens to hospitals etc.

During these difficult times, Radisson Blu Management Team delivered food supply to the St Mina’s Orphanage in Nadi.

The team will continue to other groups in the area.

Meanwhile, The Radisson Blu Resort Fiji recently partnered with Five Star Foods Fiji to provide food to the Nadi Hospital.

John Spillane, owner of the Company says he had asked around for some help and collective­ly came up with the best way to utilise the goods was to cook and provide lunches for health officials at Nadi Hospital.

“The Radisson Blu Resort was very kind to offer their facility and products to accommodat­e this initiative to help the hospital,” he said.

There were a number of volunteers assisting in this give back to the community initiative who also have been affected by this pandemic.Andrew Rhodes from Coral Cats who’s a Chef by trade, Ihaka Peri, Chef from Six Senses, Hilton providing some baked pastries, along with some stranded guests who are staying at The Radisson, Alisson and Gavin Bottrell-O’Reilly from Singapore and Nolan & Pat Govenders from South Africa.

“Three to five times a week, the crew gets together at 8am ready to cook lunches for 50-125 people at the Hospital per day,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, Radisson Fiji is offering its Standard Garden View room only for two at $145 per night.

The bonus part is there is a 2pm late checkout and upgrade to a one-bedroom suite for only $30 per night.
