Upgraded Tanoa Plaza Ready to Welcome Guests, July 1

- MARAIA VULA

Located in the heart of Suva, Tanoa Plaza Hotel is the place for corporateminded travellers.

From the central location, a short walk will take guests to business houses, retail malls, and a myriad of markets and eateries.

Tanoa Plaza Hotel has recently finished a $10 million refurbishment of the entire hotel.

This included:

■ all 60 rooms

■ and public areas (reception, lobby, restaurant and bar).

While the hotel was all set to be relaunched and open with a bang, the COVID-19 pandemic delayed the process due to lockdown and slow business travel.

Nevertheless, this did not dampen the spirit of team and they continued to actively promote the completion of the renovation to their guests.

Through this engagement with guests, they soon learnt that guests were eager to return, and soon!

Therefore, the decision was made by management to reopen the new look Tanoa Plaza Hotel earlier than scheduled.

The hotel is scheduled to open their doors from July 1 2020 and will now not only welcome guests with their famous Tanoa hospitality, but with a product that is the newest in the market enhanced by the new norm in hygiene and cleanliness standards.

In a statement Narend Kumar, Area General Manager for Tanoa Hotel Group said: “We are delighted to support Tourism Fiji’s effort in promoting local Tourism.

“There could not have been a better time

than now to show our appreciation to our local guests to be the first to try our new $10 million upgraded Tanoa Plaza with the state of art features in our lobby, restaurant and all our rooms,” Mr Kumar said
