Easy rates for Nadi stayover

Nadi’s Grand Melanesian Hotel has latched on to Tourism Fiji’s Love Our Locals campaign with discounted offers on accommodat­ion. “We have two swimming pools, a free hall for use by house guests, and many indoor games to choose from,” hotel manager Sathiya Pillay said.

The Grand Melanesian Hotel at Namaka, is within walking distance to five supermarke­ts, the Namaka Fresh Produce Market, service station, two pharmacies, dentist, doctors, the Namaka Police Station and banks.

“Our hotel restaurant is open daily from 7am to 8.30pm, and features buffet breakfast with a daily a la carte menu.”

Landmark target

The Grand Melanesian Hotel is among Namaka’s landmark tourist and local accommodat­ion targets. Located just minutes away from Nadi Internatio­nal Airport, the hotel made its names as a great stayover for visitors to Fiji.

Mr Pillay said the Grand Melanesian Hotel remained open when internatio­nal borders closed.

“We catered for many who were stranded in Fiji.”

Grand Melanesian Hotel reception closes at 10pm daily.

Happy hour prices are from 5pm to 6pm.

Rates

Family, deluxe, standard rooms and suites have air condition and ceiling fans, tea and coffee facilities, a queensized and one double bed, television, mini bar fridge, hair dryer, and safe deposit box.

Two flats are available at $300 a night with cooking facilities, fridge, storage, three separate rooms, two toilets and bathroom facilities, free gas, among other amenities.
