The Nadi Rugby Union is gearing up for the Fiji Rugby Union annual general meeting (AGM) scheduled for the Novotel Suva Lami Bay on July 18. And they will nominate current chairman/former president Sekove Tuilakeba as one of the board of directors.

Nadi Rugby Union executive committee member Jeff Tamata said they were all ready to go and contribute to the betterment of rugby.

“We have our books in order and our accounts were audited in January as required under the FRU constitution,”he said.

“We are ready to contribute to the growth of our national sport.”

Some unions always missed out on voting in the AGM in the past for not having an audited account. “I think Suva and Nadi have audited their accounts,”Tamata said. Among the items on the agenda is the election of board directors. “We have nominated our long serving rugby administrator Sekove Tuilakeba as one of the board members,” Tamata said.

“He has a wealth of rugby and administrative knowledge and should be an asset.”

The current board of directors are Francis Kean (chairman), Carl C Ngamoki(deputy chairman), Bobby Naimawi, Jay Whyte, Dr Berlin Kafoa, Max Olsson, Daniel Whippy,Mere Rakoroi and Ratu Aisea W Vosailagi.

The elections of the directors are based on rotation basis as per the provision of the constitution and such directors are also eligible for re-election.
