“We also do delicious waffles with roasted pumpkin which is also a favourite amongst customers.”
The café opened in June 1, 2020 and is situated along the South Pacific Coffee Company warehouse in Nadi’s Back Road.
It has nine employees.
Opening hours are:
■ Monday to Friday from 7.30am – 5.50pm,
■Saturday from 8am – 5pm and
■Su■day from 8am - 3pm
Wow factor
Mr Dennis said the wow factor in its menu is ensuring that the prices are locally affordable.
Smoothies, wraps, waffles, sandwiches, fresh juice, iced tea and of course coffee are some of the items in its new menu and the prices ranges between $2 - $15. Approximately $44,000 was invested into the whole warehouse where the new cafe is also located.
The warehouse also has a coffee roasting facility connected to the café with a glass window to allow customers to see first hand coffee roasting.
Refurbishment
The new café had undergone minor refurbishments to have an inviting local atmos
phere. Materials used in the refurbishments include recycled tables and chairs from various locations.
Plans
Mr Dennis hopes to work with local coffee farmers to grow Fiji’s coffee industry and to export.
He said: “We see the timing could be right to develop, grow and export, even with COVID-19 it just shows how important it is to diversify and the goal of our economy should be producing locally and exporting.”
