Initally the hotel was set up for monthly tenancy until demand from the hotel and tourism sector picked up.
It now offers daily hotel services for local travellers visiting the capital city.
History
Tropic Towers Apartment Hotel was first established on May 31, 1972.
A group of like - minded businessmen saw the advertisement of the vacant land that the hotel is currently built on, and formed the business. A shareholder said even after the business was formed years ago, the service the hotel provided has been maintained.
The land on which the hotel is located was purchased back in the day for 5000 pounds (FJ$13,951.62). The shareholder believes that Tropic Towers Apartment Hotel is one of the surviving such companies in Suva, since it was established.
Tropic Towers Apartment Hotel has undergone various changes to suit the market.
One such change was offering a 24/7 hotel service. The hotel is also offering special rates targetting the local market.
The special offer guests spacious rooms with full in-house facilities.
Facilities
From $85 per night , each room will include full in-house kitchen facilities with the option for dial-a-meal service.
Other facilities include entertainment, laundry services, swimming pool, bar, dining area and secured ample car parking.
