Nine Texts Land Prasad His $80k Vehicle
A32-year- old father of two is the lucky winner for the ‘Hilux text and win promotion for Vodafone Fiji yesterday. Sanjeev Pranil Prasad who was not expecting to win said it was one of his best Father’s Day gifts.
It took Mr Prasad nine texts to win an $80,000 Toyota Hilux 2019.
“This is the first car I will own and it does not feel real because I was not expecting to win,” Mr Prasad said.
“I used $8.91 to text because one text cost 99 cents but now I won a $80,000 car.
“I am glad I had texted and now me and my family own a car.
“I text every year, I am glad I didn’t stop texting when I didn’t win previously.
“Vodafone called me on Wednesday because they wanted some details from me but they didn’t tell me that I won.
“They told me to come here today and that was when I got to know that I won.”

“Now we don’t have to worry about transportation because now we have a car,” Mrs Prasad said. “Father’s Day is a few days away, and for my husband to win is a blessing.
“I am so glad that he participated in the Vodafone Text and Win competition,” she said.
Vodafone Fiji chief executive officer Ronald Prasad said the promotion was one way of giving back to the community.

to consistently been doing a number of promotions. A few months ago we decided to do a promotion because a lot of people have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“A lot of Fijians were losing their jobs while some are now working on reduced hours so we thought why don’t we get into something like this and create a positive spirit,” he said.
“We decided to continue with some of our promotions and this is one of our bigger ones.”.
