100% Occupancy at Castaway
Castaway Island, Fiji is overwhelmed by the support from the local market. This was after the resort reopened on July 31, only on a weekend basis.
Resort general manager, Steven Andrews, said since they reopened, they had seen weekend on weekend increase in occupancy, and seen guests returning for yet another weekend escape.
He said: “We are giving our locals the opportunity of a life time to experience the world renowned family holiday which we at Castaway Island, Fiji have been providing, mainly to international guests, for the past 54 years.” Mr Andrewa said Castaway enjoys a very high international returnee guest rate and now they were enjoying seeing local guests returning as well.
“We have had a 100 per cent occupancy rate in the last three weekends,” Mr Andrews said.
The Love Our Locals campaign has been overwhelming, he said. “We have been receiving great feedback from our guests.”
The resort opens on Friday to Sunday and guests can check out on Sunday or Monday.
Guests need to stay for a minimum of two nights, Mr Andrews said.
He said Castaway would tinue opening till the end of year.
“We have some amazing activities planned for our local guests to mark Christmas and New Year’s.” Castaway is also offering affordable rates at its bar and restaurant.
