The Naitasiri women’s side came from behind to beat Namosi at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori yesterday.

The visitors edged Namosi 1512 during the 10th round of the Skipper Cup Premiership competition.

Naitasiri fielded an inexperienced side with the core players playing at the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament.

Speaking to SUNsports prop Yvonne Sautu said the game was a tough.

“It was one close one and we had to fight with everything we had,” she said.

“Most of our senior players played at the Marist 7s but we believed in ourselves.

“We had a very young side but I guess teamwork and determination got us the win.”

“We hope to improve week.”
