Fitness Key: Domolailai
2016 Rio Olympics sevens gold medal winner Isoa Domolailai hopes to represent Fiji again. Domolailai played for the Army side at the 44th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s.
And the Laselase, Nadroga native knows he has to work on his fitness to make the cut.
“This is my first 7s tournament in Fiji after taking two years break because of an injury and I also went on peacekeeping duty to the Middle East,” he said.
“I will keep trying my best to get back to the standard of fitness required.
“I have to keep on working hard and prove myself.”
Navale sets target
Tuva lock forward Apisalome Navale hopes to make side in the future.
The 20-year old from Vatulele said participating at the Marist 7s was a learning experience.
He is one of the players earmarked to join the U20 training squad. “I hope to make it to the Fiji team one day, whether sevens or 15s,” he said.
