Champion car racer Sandeep Prakash says the Sunday December 20 Suva Car Show is going to be the biggest. “We are launching the Suva Car Show on Monday and with the interest. and turnout last year, this year will definitely be the biggest car show,” Mr Prakash said.

“There is always something unique about car shows because they bring out a lot of positive vibes,” he said.

“The positive vibes during good.

“Initially the car show had started small but as the years rolled by it was getting bigger so we had to include more categories.

“It is an opportune time for car enthusiasts to come and showcase their prized possessions and also share their stories.

“Every story is unique and enriching. You do not need to surf the internet to get tips, advice and information.

“You can come and meet passionate owners to upgrade your knowledge.

“It is a day when families and friends can come and see for themselves a wide range of this time are car cars from the old to the new, from the manual to automatic and high tech ones.

“Car owners are the best to give advice and tips because they have experience and knowledge.

“You will be amazed on how owners maintain their old cars, how they keep them in good condition.”

Organising committee

Mr Prakash is a few of those in the organising committee who has been in it since 2010. According to Mr Prakash interest and the number of entries have been steadily picking up since it took off because more people now own cars.

While confirming that Pacific Energy is sponsoring the event Mr Prakash said there were others who have come on board to sponsor other categories.

“It is more like a family day out as apart from the car show there will be entertainment also,” he said.

The car show in the West will be held at the Namaka Primary School ground on Saturday, November 7, 2020 from 10am to 7pm.
