Nadogo Wary Of Western Giants

This year they are returning after a four-year lapse and are in Group 2 with Nadroga, Bua and Tavua. Nadogo coach Rajesh Chand said they had a good build-up in the last two rounds of the Vodafone Senior League.
Now, they have recruited licensed coach Sanaila Bera to assist in their preparations and on Thursday night, they held Labasa 1-1 in a friendly encounter.
“We took our last two matches of the VSL as our build-up and now I have seen areas that we have to work on as we are in a very tough pool,” Chand said.
He indicated that Nadroga have got some former Ba players like Osea Vakatalesau while Tavua and Bua have strong teams.
“We will do our homework and work on a game plan when we face them.”
Chand said they would take each game as it comes as they are determined to upset the giants.
Trouble free Seaqaqa target win
Despite all the administration problems faced by the Seaqaqa Football Association, it has not deterred their team’s preparations for the IDC.
The intervention by Fiji Football Association has been timely as the district continued on with their operations.

Lakhan Kumar said they were preparing well for the tournament.
“We were unfortunate not to win the Vodafone Senior League Vanua Levu zone due to some alleged conflicts in the association but thanks to Fiji FA and this has been sorted out,” he said.
“The boys have moved their focus ahead and our aim is to win the title this year.”
Lakhan said they have a good squad.
“I think we have quality players and with proper guidance and motivation we should form a winning team.”
He said at the 2005 IDC, Seaqaqa played in the final and lost 2-1 to Tailevu/Naitasiri.
