Stay focused, be humble: Tuisese

The Naitasiri rugby team are not underestimating Nadroga in today’s Skipper Cup clash at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.

They are aware the Stallions are out to avenge their 9-6 loss in the fourth round of the competition. The Highlanders are currently at the second position of the point standings with 32 points followed by Nadroga with 30.

Speaking to SUNsports yesterday Naitasiri coach Ilaitia Tuisese Jnr said they would have to change their attitude when playing Nadroga.

“I have reminded the boys to stay grounded because we have been winning game after game,” he said. “We have to approach the game with a different mindset that is focused on the little things that we need to do right.

“We have to focus on the game and humble themselves to get the victory because the competition is getting tougher and we know that Nadroga also want to finish in the top four.”

Tuisese said they respect Nadroga because they are a champion side and would come out firing.

“We urge all Naitasiri supporters to come out in numbers and support the boys.”

Meanwhile, the Stallions have named a young side with Olympian Jasa Veremalua to play at lock.

The match kicks-off at 3pm.
